- A woman had her neck broken in this accident... Doesn't this result in quadriplegia? I guess maybe not in all cases.. but.. how is an elderly couple holding hands in death, one of whom caused this accident, more noteworthy than that? I'm just in awe of the comments about how romantic this is.

- Blueline: Ugh. Please. I lived in England for 2 years. The Brits have better humor than we do? Uhhhh... what a dumb thing to say. British humor is like ours, sometimes hysterical and sometimes just plain stupid.

- I have a 12 year old son. This story makes me want to cry. Put yourself in his shoes. Put yourself in the shoes of his parents. Can you imagine the terror he felt? What about the 5 year old girl who had her legs hacked off? Know any 5 year olds? Pretty horrifying.
Would John McCain have fared better with a different running mate?

- I live in the UK now, but travel home to AZ as often as I can. British Airways is like any other airline. We've been treated extremely poorly and extremely graciously - it depends on the flight crew, no matter what class we fly.
